Detailed Job Summary

As an Industrial Electrical Technician, you will be the heart of the brewery's technical operations. Your primary mission is to ensure that the plant operates at maximum efficiency (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). You will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, servicing, and repair of all electrical and automation systems. By minimizing downtime, you directly contribute to the production of some of Rwanda's favorite beverages.

What Are the Key Responsibilities?

The role is dynamic and requires a proactive approach. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Comprehensive Maintenance: Executing routine services and emergency repairs on complex electrical systems.

• Technical Troubleshooting: Providing expert advice and hands-on support to other technicians to resolve packaging automation failures.

• Process Optimization: Analyzing current systems and proposing software modifications or functional improvements to make production even smoother.

• Performance Monitoring: Generating detailed monthly reports on equipment breakdowns, work order progress, and system performance.

• Quality Control: Completing instrument calibration schedules to ensure every piece of machinery is working within precise parameters.

• TPM Participation: Engaging in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to improve overall plant safety and performance.

What is Skol Looking For?

To be eligible for this competitive role, candidates should possess a mix of academic qualifications and practical "hands-on" experience:

• Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering (with at least 3 years of relevant experience). Alternatively, candidates with Vocational Training and 4 years of practical experience are encouraged to apply.

• Technical Mastery: Proven experience in electrical installation and automation within an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or related industrial setting.

• Specialized Knowledge: You must be able to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and be conversant with Industrial Automation software such as SIMATIC S7, ABB, or Bradley.

• Language Skills: Proficiency in English and/or French is required.

• Professionalism: A strong teamwork spirit, the ability to work under pressure, and intermediate computer skills (specifically Microsoft Excel and Word).
