The Role: Program Manager AIMS Industry Initiative

Position Overview

Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Contract: 1 year, Full-Time (On-site)

As the Program Manager for the AIMS Industry Initiative, you'll be the driving force behind the implementation and deployment of the AIMS Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program. This role combines strategic oversight, hands-on program management, partnership development, and impact communication.

Core Responsibilities

1. Program Leadership and Implementation

You'll lead the comprehensive implementation and support for the AIMS Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program, ensuring seamless execution of all program activities and initiatives. This includes overseeing program strategy, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with AIMS Rwanda's mission and objectives.

2. Incubator Management and Fellow Support

A critical aspect of this role involves managing the onboarding process for fellows joining the AIMS Rwanda Incubator. You'll provide selected entrepreneurs with essential technical and professional development support, offering focused supervision, mentorship, and guidance. Your role includes facilitating the implementation of technical development programs and initiatives, including developing comprehensive concept notes that guide entrepreneurial ventures from ideation to execution.

3. Strategic Communication and Impact Documentation

As the Program Manager, you'll develop high-quality documents that showcase the program's impact and success. This includes creating compelling reports, presentations, flyers, and success stories that highlight departmental programs and activities. You'll also develop and implement media content strategies for public engagement activities, ensuring the program's achievements reach relevant stakeholders and broader audiences.

4. Partnership Development and Resource Mobilization

You'll play a pivotal role in partnership development efforts, including identifying funding opportunities that support program sustainability and growth. Your responsibilities extend to assisting in the preparation of fundraising proposals and providing facilitation support for departmental workshops and events that strengthen the program's network and resources.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Master's degree or equivalent in project management, business administration, entrepreneurship, innovation management, or related disciplines
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on project management experience

Professional Experience:

• Proven track record in developing partnerships with organizations across various sectors
• Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate project deliverables and impact to diverse audiences (both written and oral communication)
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with specific expertise in business and entrepreneurship development
