Word Increase Ministry | November 18, 2025

At Word Increase Ministry (WIM), we are committed to a vision that extends beyond the present a vision to see the church of Rwanda equipped with faithful ministers who will make mature disciples of all nations, as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, we're excited to share an opportunity that sits at the heart of this calling: the DNG Ministry Director position.

Why This Role Matters

Rwanda is often called a Christian nation, yet a critical gap remains. While many adults profess faith, biblical literacy is limited, and even more concerning the next generation is being overlooked. Across Rwandan churches, children are rarely recognized as individuals who desperately need to hear and understand the Gospel.

Some view children as "little angels," inherently innocent and sinless. Others assume they're too young to grasp spiritual truths. The result? Very little intentional ministry reaches the hearts and minds of Rwanda's children even those growing up in Christian homes.

This must change.

Introducing Discipling the Next Generation (DNG)

DNG is WIM's strategic response to this urgent need. Our vision is clear: to see the next generation of Rwanda raised in the knowledge and understanding of the Gospel, empowered to live in light of its truth.

We believe every child regardless of age can and should hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. We long to see Rwanda's children come to know Him personally and grow deep roots in His Word.

The Opportunity: DNG Ministry Director

We're seeking a passionate, theologically grounded leader to serve as the DNG Ministry Director a full-time role based in Kigali with remote work flexibility, beginning January 2026.

What You'll Do

This isn't just an administrative position. The DNG Director will:

Lead with Vision

  • Champion DNG's mission across Rwanda
  • Build and maintain partnerships with churches and Christian organizations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, volunteers, and ministry finances

Create Gospel-Centered Resources

  • Develop biblically sound Sunday school curriculum for children aged 4–11
  • Prepare and host the DNG podcast, connecting with guest speakers
  • Ensure all materials are theologically accurate and culturally relevant

Teach and Train

  • Lead three major annual children's events
  • Deliver five mobilization trainings each year for Sunday school teachers and parents
  • Participate in two annual conferences (parenting and children's workers)

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Theological Foundation: A bachelor's degree (theology preferred) or substantial theological training and ministry experience
  • Ministry Heart: Experience in church ministry, particularly with children or Christian education
  • Biblical Competency: Strong understanding of Scripture and alignment with DNG's statement of faith
  • Communication Skills: Excellence in both Kinyarwanda and English, written and spoken
  • Leadership Ability: Organizational skills, deadline management, and the capacity to work independently

We especially value candidates with ministry training, creative media experience, and familiarity with Rwandan church and family dynamics.

More Than a Job A Calling

This role is for someone who doesn't just see a position but recognizes a calling. Someone who grieves that children are being overlooked and is passionate about changing that reality. Someone who believes that investing in the next generation is not optional but essential to the health and future of the Rwandan church.

At WIM, we pursue Christ-centered lives to the glory of God. We're not perfect, but we're committed to ensuring our work genuinely benefits the Church. If you share this commitment and have a heart to see Rwanda's children discipled in truth, we want to hear from you.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit:

  • A cover letter
  • Curriculum Vitae with three references (your pastor, your latest employer, and a mature Christian friend who knows you best)
  • Copies of academic and professional certificates

Email: dngministrydirector@gmail.com
