Culinary Leadership: Sous Chef (3 Positions)

Are you a culinary leader who thrives in high-volume production environments? Solid'Africa needs experienced Sous Chefs to oversee bulk cooking operations, manage large kitchen teams, and maintain exceptional food quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do: Lead production across multiple kitchen stations, coordinate with menu planners, supervise cooking and prep teams, and ensure strict compliance with HACCP and ISO 22000 standards while meeting daily meal targets for institutional feeding.

What You Need: Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field, 3-5 years of mass catering experience, strong team supervision skills, and advanced knowledge of high-volume cooking techniques. HACCP certification is an advantage.

Production Excellence: Line Cooks (8 Positions)

The backbone of any successful kitchen operation, Line Cooks at Solid'Africa prepare and cook food at scale, operating industrial equipment and ensuring consistency across thousands of meals daily.

What You'll Do: Execute standardized recipes using large-scale equipment like tilting pans and steam kettles, portion meals for hospitals and schools, maintain food safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to ensure timely service.

What You Need: Certificate in Culinary Arts (preferred) or equivalent experience, 1-3 years in high-volume kitchens, understanding of bulk cooking methods, and commitment to HACCP food safety standards.

Specialized Skills: Pastry Cook (2 Positions)

Bring your baking expertise to a role that sweetens the lives of patients and students. Manage the pastry unit while creating high-quality breads, cakes, and desserts that meet both nutritional standards and taste expectations.

What You'll Do: Oversee pastry operations, prepare and bake according to standardized recipes, ensure consistency in presentation and portion control, maintain strict hygiene standards, and manage inventory for your section.

What You Need: Certificate or Diploma in Pastry/Bakery, 1-3 years of pastry kitchen experience, knowledge of baking techniques and ingredient functionality, and ability to operate commercial baking equipment safely.

Customer Interface: Service Waiter (6 Positions)

What You'll Do: Process customer purchases accurately using POS systems, handle cash and card payments, resolve customer inquiries professionally, maintain cleanliness standards, and perform cash reconciliation procedures.

What You Need: High school diploma, previous customer service experience (one year preferred), strong communication skills, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and flexibility for various shifts.

Technical Expertise: Plumber (1 Position)

Keep the operation flowing smoothly by maintaining all plumbing systems in this specialized food industry environment. Your work ensures hygienic, safe kitchen operations that meet stringent food safety requirements.

What You'll Do: Install, maintain, and repair water supply systems and drainage networks, troubleshoot emergency breakdowns, implement preventive maintenance schedules, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and coordinate with kitchen and maintenance teams.

What You'll Do: Serve meals to patients and students on schedule, conduct nutrition education sessions, collect beneficiary feedback, maintain the cleanliness and safety of service materials, and submit daily data reports.

What You Need: Post-high school diploma (preferably in social work), 2+ years in customer service with patients or communities, experience in community health or nutrition interventions, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate attitude.
